Where can you use the Jet Ski?

Due to the commercial registration of our Jet Ski’s you are required to operate within Smooth or Partially Smooth Waters. These include all inland waters such as dams, lakes, rivers etc. As for the coastal locations each state provides areas that are defines as Smooth or Partially Smooth Waters.

Brisbane North Brisbane South – Gold Coast
This map outlines Moreton Bay and various rivers including Brisbane River, Pine River and Pumicestone Passage that leads up to Caloundra. This map outlines south part of Moreton Bay from North Stradbroke Island down to Gold Coast. It includes all the Canals and Rivers such as Coomera River, Logan River, Nerang River and most of all the Gold Coast Seaway and The Spit.

Unfortunately NSW isn’t so kind as to provide a map designating the Smooth and Partially Smooth waters. You can find the designated waters in the Marine Safety Regulation 2016 under Schedule 2.

Where are you located?

We are located in Ascot, Brisbane. As we offer Jet Ski hire with trailer we are positioned quite well with a short drive to Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast or 5 minutes from a boat ramp on Brisbane river.

Do you require a licence to ride our Jet Ski’s?

Yes, you will need at least one licenced person on board in order to hire and operate at Jet Ski (PWC).

As we operate out of Brisbane, Maritime Safety Queensland stipulates you must:

You may also operate on a interstate marine licence issued by another Australian state or territory in Queensland if all of the following apply:

  • you are at least 16 years old
  • your marine licence is current
  • you operate within the conditions on your interstate marine licence
